Gary is an award winning producer and songwriter and has been a professional musician since the early 1970s. Throughout the mid and late 70s he worked as a solo artist and began writing songs and music for other artists and for a large number of TV shows and specials in conjunction with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
He won a USA Gabriel Award as a TV Producer and his music has been featured in TV Programs that have won two CBC President's Awards and the Prix Anik Award. As a record producer he has written, produced, engineered or otherwise recorded the Ennis Sisters, Irish Descendants, the Fables, Shanneyganock, Masterless Men, Crooked Stovepipe, Rawlin's Cross, Great Big Sea and a host of other artists.
Gary has written many songs including Out From St. Leonard's, Foggy Shores of Home, Misty Morning Shore, Christmas In The Harbour and Christmas Eve In St. John's. His songs are sung widely in eastern Canada and abroad and have been covered by Juno Award and ECMA Award winning artists. He continues to write and record new songs and is always on the look-out for new artists to cover his material..
Today Gary is semi-retired and lives with his wife Ana and their Yorkie Alf in Peterborough, Ontario CANADA where he owns and operates LEGACY MUSIC WORKS. They have three daughters: Meghan, Erin and Maria.
