The story of the Christmas rose is a medieval legend about a poor girl Madeleine who, unable to bring a gift to the newborn Jesus, wept by the stable. An angel saw her tears, and where each tear fell, a beautiful white flower bloomed, giving her the gift of the Christmas rose to present to the Christ child.
